Digital Leaders trip!

Yesterday, the Lowerplace Digital Leaders went Mr Wardlow and I to the Salford City Reds Stadium where they took part in a ‘live lesson’ in front of an audience of teachers. The session hosted by influential educational consultant Mark Anderson (@ICTEvangelist). They used a variety of websites and iPad apps, including Kahoot,Yakit kids, google classroom and google streetview to research and present information about the Pyramids of Giza. The children were brilliant, embracing apps they had not seen before and were a credit to Lowerplace. I also took back lots of new ideas for ways to use the iPads we have in school. A huge thank you to Saarim, Aysha, Ibrahim, Rose, Aaliyah, Hassan and Laiba – you are all stars! Thank you also to Mark Anderson for inviting us to take part, and to RM for hosting the event.
